Born and raised in Ovens, Co.Cork. Aogán played music from a young age with his siblings; his father, accordionist Donncha Ó Loínsigh; and his mother, renowned singer Caitlín Ní Bheaglaoích. Summers were spent gigging in the Corca Dhuibhne peninsula of West Kerry, where Aogán learned a great deal of his music. Postgraduate studies brought Aogán to Dublin in ’97, where he recorded an album with cousin (guitarist) Gavin Ralston, and enchanting fiddler Michelle O Brien, and in 1999 Aogán received the TG4 Gradam Ceóil Young Musician of the Year award.
Aogán has since featured on a number of albums by other artists including Tallaght whistle player Gavin Whelan’s first and second albums, and Steve Wickham’s (The Waterboys) solo fiddle album.He is a member of the group Slide who have toured extensively in Europe and America and last year released their fifth studio album "Mendicity"

Most classes will be taught ‘as Gaeilge’ (through Irish) while all efforts will be made to make sure that no one feels excluded.
The emphasis will be on West Kerry tunes and style.
Recording during classes is prohibited.

Is ceoltóir flúite agus consaitrtín í Nicole Ní Dhubhshlaine ón nGráig i gCorca Dhuibhne. Tá an domhan siúlta aici lena cuid ceoil go Boston, Vietnam, Moscow agus leithead na hÉireann gan dabht. Is minic a bhíonn sí ar chláracha teilifíse agus raidió, an Cork Folk Festival 2020 an clár ba dhéanaí lena raibh páirt aici ann. Bronnadh céim ar Nicole ó Choláiste na hOllscoile Corcaigh le céim sa cheol agus sa Ghaeilge. Bronnadh gradam chuimhneacháin Sheáin Ó Riada uirthi chomh maith le scoláireacht Quercus Creative and Performing Arts. D'eisigh Nicole a chéad albam i 2019 in aonacht le Kyle Macaulay dár teideal 'Barra Taoide'.

Nicole Ní Dhubhshlaine is a flute and concertina player and teacher from An Ghráig in Corca Dhuibhne. She has travelled extensively to perform in locations such as Boston, Vietnam and Moscow as well as countless performances in Ireland. Nicole is a regular contributor to TV and radio programmes most recently appearing on TG4’s Cork Folk Festival 2020. Nicole graduated from UCC with first-class honours in both BA Music/Irish and BMusic degrees and was awarded the Seán Ó Riada Memorial Award and Quercus Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship. Nicole released her debut album in 2019 “Barra Taoide” alongside Kyle Macaulay.
This class will take place from 10am - 1pm each day.

Classes are for adults and children age 9+.

Is ceoltóir cumasach í Edel, a bhfuil clú uirthi i saol an ceol traidisiúnta. Is mó gradam atá bainte amach aici le linn a saol. Sa bhliain 2004, bhuaigh Edel gradam Ceoltóir Óg na Bliana le TG4. Is minic go mbíonn sí le cloisteáil ar an raidió, ar an BBC agus tá fud fad na cruinne siúlta aici ag seinm i dteannta ceoltóirí aitheanta eile - Jackie Daly, Cherish the Ladies and The Kane Sisters ina measc. I 2006 d’eisigh sí albam i dteannta veidhleadóir na Gaillimhe Ronan O’Flaherty agus d’eisigh sí albam aonair ‘Chords and Beryls’ sa bhliain 2010. I 2013 tháinig albam eile uaithi in éineacht le veidhleadóir Phort Láirge Neill Byrne dár teideal ‘The Sunny Banks’. Thug an dluthdhiosca seo gradam ‘Tradconnect CD of the Year’ leis. Tá Edel ina bhall do ghrúpa mór le rá ‘The Irish Concertina Ensemble’ agus tuairiscí iontacha faighte ag an gcéad taifeadadh dá gcuid dár teideal ‘Zero’

Edel is one of the most accomplished Irish musicians of her generation. Her musical resume boasts a list of accolades. In 2004, Edel was awarded one of the highest honours for a traditional musician in Ireland – the TG4 Young Musician of the Year award. She is a regular performer on Irish National Radio and the BBC and has performed at festivals and in concert halls from North America all the way to Asia with musicians including Jackie Daly, Cherish the Ladies and The Kane Sisters. In 2006 she released an album to critical acclaim with the Galway fiddler Ronan O’Flaherty and a very well-received solo album entitled “Chords and Beryls” in 2010. Her 2013 recording “The Sunny Banks”, featuring Waterford fiddler Neill Byrne was named Tradconnect CD of the Year. Edel is also a member of the prestigious group, The Irish Concertina Ensemble and their debut recording “Zero” (2015) has garnered excellent reviews.
